The Surf Rescue Certificate is the entry level patrolling award for people ages 13 and above.

The Surf Rescue Certificate is a skills based award. You must be a minimum of 13 years of age and as a pre-requisite candidates must complete a 200m pool swim in five (5) minutes or less. Candidates train in groups for approximately six (6) weeks, training twice per week. During this time they will develop skills in:

Signals
First Aid
Resuscitation
Rescues
Candidates will develop skills in communications and team work in a patrolling situation.

Candidates will successfully complete a 100m run, 100m swim and 100m run in five (5) minutes. Email office@avocabeachslsc.asn.au if you want to register for the next course.
