On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January, twenty-three dedicated volunteer members from Avoca Beach SLSC traveled to the beautiful Pacific Palms region on the NSW Mid North Coast to patrol its stunning beach.
Pacific Palms, known for its pristine coastline, lush national parks, and popular surf breaks, is a favorite destination for holidaymakers. However, the local surf club faces ongoing challenges in recruiting enough lifesaving members to meet demand. For the past ten years, our team has proudly supported them by providing additional patrols, ensuring beachgoers can enjoy the area safely.
The weekend brought wild weather and significant surf, particularly on Saturday, making for a challenging but rewarding experience. Despite the conditions, the patrols ran smoothly, and the camaraderie among our team made the evenings enjoyable.
